Terms of Service
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Post It Bud is a helper for parents: one parent shares the school schedule, and everyone in the class gets a reminder. These terms keep it that way. They are written in plain language on purpose, and the plain language is the binding language.
1. Who we are
Post It Bud is operated by Bonito AI Enterprise Inc., an Ontario, Canada company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or joining a class board, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What the service is (and is not)
Class admins upload school schedules; we extract the dates with AI; the admin reviews and publishes; members get reminder emails and, if they opt in, text messages. Post It Bud is a convenience layer on top of your school's official communications. It is not a replacement for them. Schools change plans, uploads can be wrong, AI can misread a blurry screenshot, and a reminder can arrive late or not at all. For anything critical (medication, early dismissal, custody schedules, anything involving a child's safety), always verify with the school directly.
3. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. You must be an adult (a parent, guardian, or someone helping a family) and your email must be yours. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Post It Bud is not intended for use by children, and children may not create accounts.
4. Class boards and invite codes
Class boards are private. People join only through an invite link or class code shared by an existing member. Share your class code with parents in your class community, not publicly. Admins can see who is on their board and who invited whom; that visibility exists so the admin can keep the board limited to actual class parents. If someone is on a board who should not be, the admin should remove them or contact us.
5. Be a good neighbour, or be gone
This is a parent helper tool, not a battleground of egos. We have zero interest in hosting drama, and we will act to protect the parents who use this in good faith. We may suspend or permanently ban any account, without prior notice, that we reasonably believe is doing any of the following:
- Harassing, bullying, or intimidating other parents, teachers, or school staff
- Joining boards they have no legitimate connection to
- Publishing false or misleading schedule information
- Uploading content they have no right to share, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or inappropriate for a school community
- Spamming, scraping, probing invite codes, or otherwise abusing the platform
- Impersonating another person, a school, or us
Banned means banned: we may remove content, revoke access to boards, and refuse re-registration.
6. Your content
Schedules, screenshots, and events you upload remain yours. You give us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to run the service (for example, extracting dates from your screenshot and sending the digest to your class). That licence ends when the content is deleted. You are responsible for making sure you are allowed to share what you upload with your class.
7. Fees
Post It Bud is free today. If we ever introduce paid features, we will say so clearly before you are charged. We will not quietly convert a free thing you rely on into a paid one without notice.
8. Leaving, and us parting ways with you
You can stop using Post It Bud at any time: turn off digests, leave a board, or email us to delete your account entirely. We may suspend or terminate accounts as described in section 5, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that reminders will be accurate, complete, or on time. See section 2: verify anything critical with the school.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50) or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Disputes belong to the courts of Ontario.
