Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
The short version: your data runs the reminders and does nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not run ads, we do not retarget you, we use no tracking pixels, and we never collect children's information. Phone numbers are optional.
Post It Bud is operated by Bonito AI Enterprise Inc. (Ontario, Canada). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. It applies to postitbud.com and the emails and texts we send.
1. What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in and send the digests you asked for.
- Your phone number, only if you choose to add it, to send text reminders. Leave it blank and texts simply stay off.
- Class board details: school name, grade, and teacher name, as entered by the class admin.
- Uploaded schedules: the screenshots admins upload and the events extracted from them.
- Membership records: which boards you belong to, your digest and text preferences, and which member's invite link you joined through.
- Send logs: a record that a given email or text was sent, so we never double-send.
2. What we deliberately do not collect
- Anything about your children. There is no field for a child's name, age, photo, or class list anywhere in the product. Parents subscribe to a class, not to a child. Please do not type children's personal details into event notes either; the reminders work fine without them.
- Tracking data. No advertising pixels, no analytics trackers, no fingerprinting, no third-party cookies. The only cookie we set is the session cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Payment data. The service is free today, so we collect none.
3. What we use it for
One thing: running the service. Signing you in, showing your boards, extracting events from uploaded schedules, and sending the reminders you opted into. That is the complete list. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not retarget you on other platforms, we do not build marketing profiles, and we do not sell or rent anything to anyone.
4. AI processing
Uploaded schedule images are read by an AI model through Bonito AI's gateway for exactly one purpose: turning the image into a list of dated events for the admin to review. Your uploads and extracted events are not used to train AI models.
5. Who touches the data (service providers)
A small number of providers process data on our behalf, each for one job: Resend delivers our emails; Twilio delivers text messages if you opted in; our hosting and database providers store the application data; Bonito AI processes schedule extraction as described above. Each receives only what its job requires. Beyond these, we disclose data only if the law requires it, and we notify you when we are allowed to.
6. Who sees what inside a board
Boards are private to their members. Members see the published schedule. The board admin additionally sees the member list (email addresses, join dates, and who invited whom) so they can keep the board limited to actual class parents. Your phone number is never shown to other members, including the admin.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account or board is active. Deleting an upload removes it and its draft events. Deleting a board removes its schedules, events, and memberships. To delete your account and everything tied to it, email hello@postitbud.com and we will complete it within 30 days.
8. Your choices
- Pause digest emails per class, any time, from the class page.
- Turn texts on or off, or remove your phone number entirely.
- Every digest has a working unsubscribe link.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion.
9. Children
Post It Bud is a tool for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the product is designed so there is nothing about a child to collect. If you believe a child's information has ended up in the service (for example, typed into a note), tell us and we will remove it.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords (nothing to leak), and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you promptly and honestly.
11. Where the data lives
We are a Canadian company and handle personal information in line with PIPEDA. Our service providers may process data in Canada and the United States.
12. Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you by email for significant changes. Questions or requests: hello@postitbud.com. See also our Terms of Service.
